To say that Anthony was content at the moment would be a vast understatement. He was settled comfortably against the cushions of the couch, Abigail was curled up beside him, and some movie he was paying absolutely no attention to was playing on the television. Understandably, he had absolutely no intentions of moving anytime soon. In fact, his eyes were half-lidded as they watched the movie absently, his attention far from focused on whatever action was playing out across the screen. To be honest, he enjoyed getting the chance to just sit here and relax with Abigail; you would never hear any complaints from him when such an opportunity arose. No work, no outside distractions, and best of all, no reason to interrupt the oh so rigorous movie watching he was doing with his girlfriend.
Anthony had never been the sort who thought he'd be happy to just sit and be with someone, but he'd found himself doing exactly that recently. As this thought crossed his mind, he shifted slightly on the couch and the arm resting around her shoulders pulled her closer to him. After a moment, he pulled his attention back to the present and tried to catch on to what he had missed while his mind had been wandering. "So, tell me...what exactly is the appeal of romantic comedies? I completely fail to understand them," he asked, his brows drawing together in a look of puzzled curiosity directed at the television screen. Not that it really mattered to him either way, it was just the first question that came to mind. He was content to just sit there with Abigail.
