Jake had been miserable ever since their fight. Everything had been awkward between them, and he was even beginning to feel bad for pulling her away from work. If he hadn't done that, then she would never have gotten angry at him in the first place. This really was all his fault, wasn't it? It was better that he learned now that women were always right, right?
Jake had been laying on his couch in nothing but a pair of boxers, and staring at the mind-numbing television show. His arms were crossed moodily over his chest, and a glass of water was half-full upon his coffee table. Hearing the knock at the door, he sat up a little, and swung his legs off of the couch. He darted to his room and pulled out a random black tee shirt, and tugged it on as he trudged slowly to the door, not really in the mood for any company right now.
He opened it without bothering to ask who it was, and stared in disbelief when he saw Ally. His jaw fell slack before he snapped it back shut, and then stood off to the side of the door, allowing her room to pass by him to come in.
