Hannah wanted to, but she just couldn't. She wanted to tell him how much she had missed him and that life had been miserable without him. But what if while he was with Sam, his feelings for her had come back and had lessened his feelings for her? She didn't know if she would be able to handle that.
Hannah nodded with a slightly choked 'mhm', and let him push her, her legs falling limp, not even trying to pump them so the swing would go higher than it was. The closer she was to him right now, the better. She was just unsure of how to say it. She wanted to just stay the night out here with him, maybe in the treehouse or something.
"Lots of pie.." she managed. She hiccuped a little, and purposefully dug her feet into the earth to stop herself from moving, even with his pushing. She knew she wouldn't be able to hold her anger for long, but it was more short-lived than she had anticipated.
Hannah leaned herself up against Joseph's chest, and let her eyes flutter to a close. "I missed you, Joseph."
