"Valerie." He repeated. He hardly heard her, and if he had it wrong, she'd have the opputunity to correct him. She didn't say anything, so he assumed he was correct. "I'm Shannon. Girl's name, I know." He rather liked his name, though, to be honest. It had... character. He never truly understood his mother's reasoning behind it though. Shannon had six siblings, half of them girls. It's not like his mother didn't have to girl to name Shannon. Oh well.
"So, Valerie..." He crossed his arms across his chest, not to close himself off, but it just felt natural to him. "What brings you to my zoo today?" Not that it was his zoo, but this was his work place. And it was a rather silly question. What else do people come to the zoo for?
