It had taken Tamsyn years to finally realize that what her and Guy had was love. And Lucas definitely had a point. There was no way in hell she'd ever be able to just give him up and live without him. If Lucas was able to realize that he could really marry someone, regardless of how it ended, surely she could too. But she didn't know how she would take it if it ended the way Lucas and Marie had. She took yet another big gulp of her drink and sighed. Tam wasn't one for too much affection, but when she was upset, she craved it. That's why she leaned to the side a bit and rested her head on his shoulder. Hopefully he wouldn't mind.
"But he probably won't even talk to me. And even if he does, what am I going to say?" How was she going to find the words to make everything go like she wished they would, with all this behind them. "Lucas? With how things..." She stopped, and decided to rephrase. "If you could take it all back, would you?" She was talking about him asking Marie to marry him, but she was avoiding really saying that word.
