(Blind Mouse) What: Sean proposing to Emma. Where: Emma and Ellie's dorm room When: Friday, May 9, 2008 - evening Rating: PG-13... for the occasional curse word? Status: Complete Log
Sean had spent the better part of his day on a plane. Listening to his Ipod and the on board movie. Oh and sleeping. He loved those warm blankets. And those little pillows. But he didn't like the stewardess giving him dirty looks now that he was married. He got a couple. Are you serious!? And a few You gotta be kidding! And even a You were suppose to marry me!!!! He hated those ones. But now that he was there. It was okay. With his duffle bag over his shoulder and walking through the airport, he had to find the car rental place. To get his fucking car. Now after a good forty-five minutes, he had the keys and was in the car. He was almost hopelessly lost trying to find that dorm. It was a lot harder when you were the one driving. All that could go through Sean's head though was what he was about to do. And how important it's going to be. As soon as he found a parking spot and found the dorms. He was walking through the halls. Confused and getting those looks again. Guess he could say that people knew here too that his wife was married to him. Which made him not ask anyone where to go to get to her dorm. He didn't want her to get any more bad stares. Soon though the mouse found the right place. It took some remembering. But he was there. He slowly opened the door and was poking his head through. The after thought that her sister or their other roommate were in there changing or something. But he only saw Emma studying. Which brought a smile to his lips. He slowly snuck in and closed the door softly and turned to her with a smile. "BABY! I'm here!"
Emma knew that Sean would be arriving sometime this weekend but she'd been so focused on school and studying for her coming exams that she hadn't really given it much thought. She wasn't one to actually admit to her mistakes but it had been a very stupid idea to go to Vegas just before finals and she was definitely paying the price now that she was actually faced with each of the tests.
The looks and asinine comments Sean was receiving was nothing compared to what Emma was dealing with each and every day. Usually, she was quite a social butterfly. Lately, though, the publicity from marrying Sean was enough to keep her in her dorm. Ellie was the one that braved the campus, getting food and occasionally going to the library to pick up additional books.
Which was why Emma was currently alone in her bedroom. Her twin had run out to pick up a few things and left her pouring over one of her text books. She was usually the type to procrastinate to the very last minute but... this was ridiculous. She should've started studying a week ago! She was so lost in catching up for lost time that she didn't hear the door open or the other person move into the room with her. That is, until she heard the voice.
On impulse, Emma jumped with a squeak of surprise and sent her book flying in the direction of said voice.
Sean's eyes went wide when the book flew right at his head. He ducked down and covered himself with his arms laughing lightly. The fact that she was so emerged into her books was a sign that she was really behind in her studies. So he wont take her away to long. He may lounge in her room and nap on her bed. But she needed to study. His smile was wide when he glanced at her. "Married only a week or so and you're already throwing stuff at me?" He teased as he stood back up holding his arms open. "Do you want to come throw yourself at me too?" He laughed smiling.
Emma was left sitting there, blinking with surprise as the book flew straight for her husband's head. While she'd known that he was going to be arriving at some point in the next couple of days, she hadn't really been expecting him and that showed in her expression as she simply stared.
When he finally spoke, though, a huge grin crossed her features and he was voicing his last question when she flung herself into his arms. "Oh my gosh, Sean!" she exclaimed as her arms wrapped tightly around his neck. "I'm so sorry. I wasn't... I didn't hear you come in. You scared me!"
To show that she was genuinely happy to see him, she pulled back a second later and pressed her lips to his. It had only been a week but, as always, Emma had missed him and she poured that into the kiss. Shocked or not, she was definitely glad he was there with her... even if she really needed to be studying.
Sean laughed a good minute while holding her up in his arms. He was just as shocked as she was when he was almost hit by that fucking book. He was glad he was quick at least. That might of hurt alot actually. That book was fucking huge. When she kissed him he gladly returned the kiss. He was waiting to see her. And now he was waiting for her to come back to Seattle. Though he didn't know what he would do when she had to come back for the next years worth of school. But for now, he was here and with her and he didn't want to break the kiss. Once he had to pull away. He spoke again. "Mmm..I missed you." He planted another kiss on her lips.
Like Sean, Emma was very glad that he was quick. She would've felt horrible if she'd actually managed to hit him with the textbook. It was rather large and she imagined that it would've hurt him quite a lot.
Emma deepened the kiss long before she allowed him to slowly pull out of it. It had been a week since she'd been kissed and she definitely milked it for all that it was worth. "I've missed you, too," she finally murmured, grinning when he brushed another kiss over her lips.
She was definitely looking forward to going home to Seattle for the summer. She had been since she'd started spending time with Sean. Now that they were married, it was shear excitement.
Honestly, Emma had been slightly nervous about seeing him this weekend but, right now, she wasn't thinking about the silly fears that had overcome her when he's said they needed to talk. She was just happy to see him.
After planting another couple of kisses to his lips, she pulled away and went to collect the book she'd thrown. "Sit," she commanded softly as she led him over to the bed. "Let me cuddle you a bit."
Sean made off as the good husband he was and he climbed onto the bed and almost fell over. He was laying there. He had something he had to do as soon as he could. And he didn't want to forget. His smile was happy and calm as she climbed with him. He held her close letting one of his hands to connect with one of hers letting his fingers tangle with hers. "Emma...there is something actually important I want to talk to you about." Now knowing his luck. She was probably really worried about what it was. So he reassured her slightly. "I love you Emma...really I do." He kissed her hand softly as he looked to her. His eyes to hers. Then he was nervous. His smile was shy, though it still held its charm. "I don't like how we don't remember getting married." He started. He shifted to face her more. He bit his lower lip softly. "Emma Daly...well you marry me..." He paused and cocked a half grin. "Erm...again. For real this time. With people to see it. Wedding dress. Flowers..." He laughed lightly. "Something for us to treasure and remember..."
As soon as Sean was on the bed, Emma waisted no time in curling up with him and cuddling him close. Most people wouldn't have thought that a week without physical contact was that big of a deal but, for her, it was. For a week, she hadn't left her dorm for anything other than exams and she most certainly hadn't sought out the physical comfort she normally would've taken from the handful of her jock friends that had taken the time to stop by since finding out she was married. It was only a week but she was definitely ready for a little bit of affection.
Emma's stomach tightened reflexively when he reminded her that he'd come to talk to her about something serious. As crazy as it was, she was instantly worried that he'd changed his mind about staying married to her. When he softly reassured her, she breathed a sigh of relief. Of course, when he continued, her breath caught in her chest again.
"You... want a real wedding?" she questioned, obviously surprised by this development. "You don't... but I'd love to. Maybe people will quit treating me like I'm an idiot if there's a real ceremony." That last addition was mumbled but she quickly smiled again. "Yes," she answered brightly before pressing a kiss to his lips. "I'll marry you again."
Sean pulled her into the kiss and held it for a long moment. Once it broke he smiled. "You're not an idiot. I'm not an idiot. We're trying to know what we're doing." He kissed her again. "I love you Emma. And I don't mind spending my days with you. As long as you can handle being a rockstar's wife." He cooed as he held her close to kiss her again. After a moment of silence. He smiled more. "Can we have this wedding this summer. Right away? I don't want to wait." He sighed. He looked to her. "On the beach by the ocean?" Unless you have other ideas. Was he seriously talking about the wedding.
Emma was smiling even as his lips pressed to hers. A real wedding. She hadn't realized it until this moment but that was exactly what she wanted. If they were really going to do this, she wanted to do it right... with a dress and flowers and cake. Deep down, she was a very romantic person and a few years from now, she would have regretted not having an actual ceremony.
"I think I can be a rockstar's wife," she teased as she snuggled a little closer. "What are their duties? Because, if it's loving you, I'm sure I can handle it."
Her smile didn't fade as she returned the gentle pressure he pushed against her lips. When he pulled back again, she hugged him tightly, trying to express just how happy he'd made her. "Yes. This summer. On the beach... with my toes in the sand." Really, that sounded sort of perfect and, if it was possible, her smile grew just a little more.
Sean held onto her. Continuing to kiss her repeatedly. Wanting her to be close, just close. He wanted good memories. A beautiful ceremony for Emma. Something she could treasure forever, and her parents could possably be thrilled with. A dress. A cake. Yes...cake. Sean liked the idea cake. "Are you sure. You'd have to deal with photoshoots. Interviews? Cameras..." He teased. "Duties would involve sexual pleasing. Maybe a sandwich, or two. Loving for sure." He stated as his hands reached around grabbing the back of her thighs pulling her right up against him. "This summer will not be forgettable." He insisted. "I will get your parents to like me. And hopefully your sisters." He stated. He didn't want Emma to be that black sheep. He pushed a passionate kiss against her lips. "And on our honeymoon. I'll make sure you can't wear white again." He teased.
"Photoshoots... interviews... cameras." Her words echoed his between each of the kisses he pressed to her lips. The smile on her face never faltered but, by this point, it was impossible for it to grow any more. "Sexual pleasing... two sandwiches... I can definitely handle all of that."
His hands slipped around to grip the back of her thighs and she squeaked a little when he pulled her flush against him. "Of course, they'll like you," she assured him quietly. "I adore you... they have no other choice." Emma was just naive enough to believe that her family would absolutely love him if they'd only take the time to get to know him. They didn't always approve of her actions but, usually, they supported her... no matter what.
She hummed softly when he pulled her into a passionate kiss. It was really unfair what he could do to her with one, single kiss but she most definitely wasn't complaining... especially when his promise followed the embrace.
"So, we'll be waiting until our wedding night, then?" she teased in return a coy smirk on her face.
Sean held onto her contentfully his eyes closing softly. His mind wasn't running on full gear any longer. It was slowing far far far down. The jet lag was catching up with him. The tension and worry about Emma was going away. She was happy. And they were actually getting married now. And that was all that pulled at his mind making him happy. He nuzzled into her neck cooing. "Emma..." He smiled. "I'm happy you're my wife." He said softly in her ear. Placing a kiss on her temple. "And I'd be happy to wait till after the wedding till we have sex again. Make it special..." He kissed her cheek now. He nuzzled. His words growing softer as he held her. "Emma...I.." He yawned. "I love...you.." Then after his voice faded were soft snores. Sure signs of his stressing on the situation mixed with the jet lag. Though a smile was still planted against his lips.
Emma pressed an affectionate kiss to his lips when the excitement faded and the obvious exhaustion set in. She watched as his eyes began drooping and she lowered her voice appropriately. "I love you, too," came her soft murmur.
While she hadn't been seriously suggesting that they wait until their wedding night, she couldn't help thinking that it was a very romantic idea. Maybe they should... if she could... but all of that could be decided later.
She laid there a little while longer, just listening to the rhythmic sound of his breathing. It was nice having him there... even when he was sleeping, it was nice just being near him. Before her own eyes could grow heavy, she shifted the tiniest bit and collected several pages of her notes. It was a little difficult to balance a textbook while cuddled so closely but her notes were more than sufficient. She had copied them from her twin, after all.
