Her hand played in her hair as she went quiet then, chewing on the inside of her cheek. Oh, she'd wanted to tell him, she really did. And she was happy and thrilled and ecstatic... but there was a huge, huge roadblock. That whole leaving thing? Yeah, she hadn't wanted to think about it. Or... talk about it, but obviously she had to do that. "I'm sorry,' she said softly as she just barely looked over at him. "I wanted to, but I didn't know how to tell you about the other part that came with it." She swallowed hard and shrugged. And... of course, he had to go on.
"A year," she spoke up quietly, her voice soft and barely above a whisper. "I'd... I'd be leaving in August and it'd last until August of next year." And there she was, chewing on her bottom lip again, keeping her gaze a way from him. "I still don't know what I'm going to do, but-- but I'm pretty sure I want to take it."
