It might suck for her but it made things for everyone else, for Nate, a lot easier. He wasn't about to complain. Besides, it was a good quality that he happened to like about her and not just for completely selfish reasons.
Nate really didn't know what to do right now. Things were slowly starting to piece themselves together and he was not liking the way they were going. Shifting in his seat as he listened, he was finding it hard to believe what she was saying. She'd got a part and was only just mentioning that now? You'd think she'd have been a little bit more excited and insane about that but apparently not. "You should have told me," he wasn't angry, believe it or not and his voice was quite calm which could be confusing to hear. Things hadn't processed enough yet for any kind of emotion to be showing, except for worry. Oh God he was worried now. She was leaving, that in itself was bad enough but what he had to ask next was something he wasn't sure he even wanted an answer to.
Moving a little so he was facing her he frowned ever so slightly. He couldn't react, he couldn't do anything until he knew for sure. "For how long?" And right now he'd fallen completely still. He needed to keep his calm at least for now.
