She couldn't even pretend that this wasn't what it looked like. She'd been cheating on Adam and she was completely and totally busted now.
She flinched slightly at the bitterness in his tone. She deserved it, of course. She deserved for him to hate her, to never want to speak to her again. She deserved worse and she knew it.
