Girls needed comfort food. Guys... they toughed it out. They most certainly didn't eat their feelings away. That was most definitely a girl thing but, here he was, eating ice cream with his little sister.
"I didn't know where we were going. If it was just a kiss, why would I tell anyone else? Why would I chance hurting Matt over something that hadn't lasted more than a few moments?"
He sighed and shook his head. "That was near the beginning of December... nothing else happened until New Years Eve and, even then, it was just a simple kiss."
Joseph paused long enough to take another couple bites from his ice cream. "For months, we were just friends who had kiss a time or two. Why would I advertise something like that and lose all of my friends for nothing. It didn't become something until a few weeks after we got back from Christmas break."
It had all made perfect sense to him at the time but, now, it sounded stupid.
