return phone call. like, 15 minutes later..
Claudia had been right there when her phone rang. She'd looked at the caller id, bit her lip, and gone right back to the movie she'd been watching. Maybe it was silly and immature, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to talk to Matt right now. After hearing about what had happened.. she couldn't help it.. she did think she was just some kind of revenge.. or something. And that hurt. It wouldn't have with anyone else, but Matt.. he was special. She'd known him forever and she really cared about him. Loved him, even, though it wasn't in a romantic sense.
That hadn't stopped her from listening to the voice mail when it came through, though, and she teared up about halfway through, biting her lip. She believed him when he said all that. Matty wouldn't lie to her and.. it was just a struggle to work through her emotions right now. She was relieved she'd been wrong, so happy to hear his voice. Matt was easily one of her best friends and she found she couldn't just.. not return his call. She couldn't even be upset with him, really, even if she wished he'd just told her to start with.
With a slight sigh, she pulled herself together, flipping her phone open again and dialing Matt's number. It would be good to see him. Ed, too. And she had been wanting to get out of her dorm for a bit.
