Emma didn't usually allow herself to take such compliments to heart but she couldn't stop a huge grin from moving over her features. David had this amazing ability to make her feel special... like he really cared... like she was the only girl in his life that mattered.
"Eighty-three and a half," she grinned. "You were starting to say it again but I accidentally interrupted by telling you how delicious dinner was." She paused and flashed him another smile. "Feel free to say it as many times as you'd like. I enjoy hearing it."
It felt like she'd been waiting four lifetimes to find the one guy that would love her. She'd never admit it to a soul but at different times in the last few months, she found herself pretending that either David or Sean was that guy. She knew it wasn't healthy but, during moments like this, she couldn't help herself.
