When Ana had made the comment, she hadn't been thinking about what she wanted. She'd been thinking about how easy it would've been for her hand to travel south rather than north. Waking up could've been quite a bit more awkward if that had happened. However... now that he mentioned it...
Before answering, Ana not only chewed and swallowed the cereal she had in her mouth but she took another bite. After consuming it, she shifted in her seat a little and regarded him seriously as she answered.
"I thought that I'd made that clear last night. I might have... put a halt to things but there wouldn't have been anything to put a halt to if I didn't want to get friendlier with you."
That was a mouthful. She knew it was a mouth full but it was already out there and she couldn't take it back.
She didn't disagree with anything else he said, so she kept quiet, willing to focus on the conversation at hand.
