Regardless of the throbbing pain in his face, he pushed himself away from the desk when she came into the dorm and crumpled into a heap against the door.
His own feelings were completely forgotten as he made his way over to her, kneeling in the floor at her side.
"Shhhh," he coax, his hand moving to push gently at her hair. "Shhh. It'll be alright."
Joseph knew that she was crying over Matt. He might not know exactly why but that didn't exactly matter to him. He only cared about her.
When she finally looked up at him, he shook his head. He really wasn't worried about himself right now. As always, she was the only thing that mattered.
Not thinking anything of the gesture, he leaned in and tried to pull her into a hug.
It broke him to see her so upset and he wanted nothing more than to try and fix it.
