Hannah had vaguely heard Joseph's request - her mind was on one track right now. She needed to talk to Matt.
Tears spilled completely freely down her cheeks, now, and she shook her head at Matt. "Matt! I couldn't just run off on my own! I had no money, no license, nothing! I was a child, they police would have gotten me and would have taken me back, anyways. And if you had any idea how many times I tried.." she trailed off, choking on her own words now. Her whole body ached for Matt, and she couldn't help it.
Hannah tried to call after Matt, but she couldn't find her voice just yet. He did matter. He mattered then, and he mattered now, but she was choking on her words. Her throat felt dry, and she couldn't bring herself to speak at all.
Hiccuping, her chest heaving as she gasped for air as the uncontrollable sobbing began, she shakily strode herself back to her dorm. She closed the door behind her, and slid down it, crumbling to the floor. She pressed her forehead against her knees, and attempted to calm herself down.
Inhaling deeply a few times, she finally glanced up to Joseph. "Should probably get some ice on your eye.." she said quietly.
