Joseph floundered slightly when she pulled back and just stared at him. It was completely unwarranted but he found himself worrying that he'd said something wrong, that she wasn't feeling the same things that he was... that he was rushing into something she didn't want.
When she spoke, though, a large smile washed over his face. "I would lo..."
His words trailed off and he swallowed as he tried to find the proper thing to say.
"Hannah," he finally continued, his hand moving to brush softly over her cheek. "Will you be my girl?" It had to be the most juvenile thing he'd ever said but he simply didn't know how else to put it. He wanted her to be his just as he'd been hers all these years.
