Tonight had been going great! Jayden had been working them extra hard lately and they were ready. The routine was almost flawless, the game was going well and while Katy would never, ever admit it, sometimes she enjoyed just being a kid, having fun with cheerleading and basketball games and all of that.
Normally, she probably would have been unfazed by a prank like this. Or she would have at least stayed at pissed more than hurt or embarrassed. Katy Page didn't have feelings, she didn't get embarrassed and she certainly dind't let some stupid British bitch get the best of her.
Things had been piling up lately, though - the Alex thing and keeping it from Dice, the fact that it kept happening and that she'd felt compelled to get him a really nice birthday gift without even letting him know it was from her, not because she was ashamed or anything, but because it was more important for him to have something nice than to know who it was from.
She'd felt the material give way and then there's just been pointing and laughter and the shocked face of her father. That right there had hurt the worst, that he father had seen, and while Katy had managed to keep most of the emotion from her face, she'd bolted from the auditorium, heading for the first place she could think of - which just happened to be the unused room she'd been frequenting with Alex lately. God, did she not want to think about that. She'd barely pushed open the door before she started to lose it a little, the first of several hot tears starting to spill down her face.
