Ashleigh felt as if she only had one lonely brain cell... and it wasn't working. This entire thing just wasn't processing. When she left Thursday evening, she'd had a very perky, very bubbly, very female roommate. Now, less than a week later, she had him.
"Oh.Well. That was very... um... friendly of her," she finally mumbled, thinking that this couldn't exactly be a walk in the park for him, either. "Sorry that this is... I'm really not this stupid it's just hard to adjust to, you know? I've only been gone like... three or four days and my perky, pink loving roomie transformed into, well, you."Pause. "Not that there's nothing wrong with you, it, just, would've been nice to have some sort of warning."
Realizing that she was babbling, she blushed and clamped her teeth around her bottom lip as she really thought about what she was going to say next.
"No.It's not going to be a problem," she decided. "I'm... just... it's not like I'm going to boot you out into the street." Pause. "And you did get rid of those awful Pepto Bismol colored sheets." That was her attempt at cracking a joke.
So. She had a new roommate. She could deal with that. Couldn't she?
