SEE. He knew it. Marlene was going to get bored and end up unhappy with her decision. Guh. It was enough to make Nate just want to knock some sense into her in the cruellest way possible. Not that he knew what that was exactly, figuring that out would probably be made easier if he was actually talking to the girl. That and the cruellest way possible might be a little out of his reach. Not that he'd admit that? But he liked Marlene. Every time he was a huge asshole, one to that kind of degree, he never meant it anyway.
It was all too confusing. Whatever. Moving on.
When Rhi answered the door Nate pushed himself off the door frame and returned her smile with one of his own, even if some people wouldn't exactly call them proper smiles. "Hey," he replied, taking a few steps into the house and looking around. His search was stopped soon after though when Rhi spoke again. Smirking a little he brought his shoulders up in a short shrug, "I was thinking of just jumping off a cliff. You know, nice and quick." Everything he said came out pretty seriously, didn't it? Most likely that'd be a little unnerving to anyone who didn't know him that well... which was probably the point, actually. Just so we’re all clear, no, Nate was not going to go and jump off a cliff.
Without waiting for Rhi to actually lead the way into the house Nate started to walk through. “Here I was thinking there’d be some major decorating changes,” he spoke finally turning back to face Rhi.
