If only she knew to what extent his thoughts were going then she’d try to set them right. None of that was true. He was more than enough. She just… couldn’t stay. The more she thought about it the more excuses she tried to think up to stay/reasons for why she should go but in the end, she had to. It was her career and she would be back. All she had to do was remind herself she was being a bit dramatic about it all, but then she’d talk to Parker…
And now she had to try and forget he’d been about to say something. With a soft sigh as he walked away Sara raised her arms to hug herself. Damn. She’d completely forgotten about the drinks until then, too. She took the cup from him with a grateful smile before following him over to his window. This seriously had to be one of her favourite places to sit.
Settling herself into some pillows she brought the drink up to her lips to blow on it gently, glad for the warmth on her hands (even if it wasn’t from him). “Someone else?” She asked softly, frowning a little. How could she possibly answer that question? She didn’t want to hurt him. “I can’t…” she finally answered, her turn to look down at her cup.
