Talking with Gertie had at least told him one thing. He was going to miss her. He already did miss her, and she hadn't even left yet. The grown up, 26 year old Parker side of him told him it was nothing. He'd be able to talk to her still, and she was coming back. The young, childish, Peter Pan side of him, the one that tended to override Parker Prince, told him he was losing her. Just like he had back then. She was leaving him to grow up, an adventure that he could never have. Sara, and all the feelings she brought about inside of him were an adventure he could never have, even if he had no clue exactly what it is he was feeling.
The whole month of January had brought about no happiness for him. Every day that passed by felt like one more day closer to her leaving. It wasn't something he could easily hide, even if he had no idea why he was feeling that way. Well, now he did. Half of it anyway, because the whole reason he had taken it so hard was a different matter entirely. He loved her, and he had no idea. he couldn't tell her so, because the whole concept was alien to him.
He was sitting in his room, playing his guitar and singing, trying to keep his mind off of the fact that tonight would be the last night that he was going to be able to see his Sara. His Wendy.
