Ana almost sighed with relief when he offered the bowl to her. "Good," she grinned. "I wasn't sure if I could handle any more cardboard. This is much better." Intending to get in a few bites before she had to go back to work, she pulled another spoonful from the bowl, blew on it and eased it into her mouth. Luckily, she'd managed to chew and swallow before he pulled at her foot, sliding her and the chair she was sitting in closer to him.
She made a slight noise of protest but, before she could really say anything, he was saying her name and looking at her in a way that made her heart skip a beat.
Her expression turned to a confused one when he began pacing and looking so obviously upset by... something. She had no idea what had caused such a display but she tried to assure him that he didn't have to worry about that.
"You... of course, you're going to see me eve..." her words stopped abruptly when he approached her and she became completely speechless when he leaned down to kiss her.
She and Elliot weren't officially exclusive or anything so, sadly, he wasn't the first thing to come to mind. The kiss. It pulled her completely out of everything and before she realized what she was doing, she was returning it.
If she'd been thinking, she would've pulled back, she would've done something, but she wasn't. For now, she could only think about his lips and hers.
