"That'll give Peaches and Cream some... interesting attributes," she had teased as she made her way back out onto the floor.
Casual teasing. A wink. A flirty smile. That's how they were supposed to be and she was just a little giddier when she went back to work. It was nice to see that his moment of insanity (or whatever he was calling it) wasn't going to mess with their friendship.
As it turns out, Ana hadn't been teasing about one thing. She did, indeed, have a break fifteen minutes later. One that she was desperately looking forward to. Her feet were aching and it was going to be nice to just sit for a half hour.
"I'll meet you in the fridge," she teased as she walked past the bar and into the break room.
She didn't really intend to go into the fridge with him... not for such activities as that, anyway. What she did intend to do was collapse and pull her feet into a chair. She was barely able to warm her 'lunch' when she kicked her shoes off and did exactly that.
Just in case their break did match up (and they usually did) she'd left the chair to her right free for him. Of course, the chair to the left of the one her feet were occupying was free, too. Really, all the chairs around the table were open... except for the two she was in.
Ana sighed. Man, was she glad she had swapped shifts and would be getting off in just a couple of short hours.
