Maybe Ana should've been a little more specific but when she'd said New York she meant the city, not the state. Didn't everyone? When she spoke anything that wasn't the city was described specifically... like 'Upstate New York'.
"I love it there," she grinned. "I've been in the city since I was a baby, though, I think it would be overwhelming to anyone who hadn't been raised in such an atmosphere."
She nodded when he talked about Colorado. "It sounds amazing," she returned but quickly corrected that statement. "Not that stifling and everyone being in everyone's business but the mountains." She could probably never be a small town girl through and through but she could happily disappear for a few weeks.
She took another sip from her beer before pushing on in the conversation. "What do you do for a living?" she asked. They'd not really had much time to talk to one another at the club so this was really a getting-to-know-you type date.
