Children of Men. God, what a fantastic film. It was slow, especially forĀ a Monday, which was usually when there was a huge rush of movies being returned. That meant things to catalogue, inspect, and reshelf. But it was early, still. There would be more chaos after most folks were off of work for the evening. But for now, Harry had the opportunity to sit back, relax, and watch one of the best films to come out in the last few years. Anyone who had any doubts about Clive Owen's acting prowess (and who would be dumb enough to say such a thing, in Beantown Video, no less) needed only to watch this particular film, and would surely change their tune.
The movie was on one of the large televisions that hung across the way from the main counter. Harry was scanning in the titles that had been returned so far. He separated them by genre, looking at the little colored dot stickers along the spines, glancing up at the screen periodically, watching Clive Owen's character poking around the house of Michael Caine. Tricia was restocking titles on the shelves, and Karli was putting up the new release posters in the window -- thankfully, neither one complained about the movie choice.
