Chuckling for a second, Jack quickly scanned his page, then wordlessly flipped a chunk of pages forward in the book. His eyes darted across the page again only before turning a few pages back, then forward, etc. This process continued twice or so until a smile appeared on his face, a sign of satisfaction.
"Ahh, here," he said, jabbing the page once. He briefly read a few sentences again to regain a sense of what exactly they were dealing with.
Jack began to slowly and (mostly) uncertainly explain the basics of what was going on during that time period and what exactly was happening. Although Rory was certainly not the first person he's ever tutored, for some reason each time he takes on a 'tutoree,' Jack always feels a little unsure as to his tutoring abilities. It's hard to be a good teacher.
