Don't get him wrong, Brian hadn't been thrilled about 'babysitting' Clarice either. She was fun to torment for awhile, but she really just annoyed the shit out of him most of the time. It didn't matter what he said, or the amount of sensible logic behind it -- the word 'sensible' and Clarice didn't match up. Not now, not ever. It was useless.
And now he stood in Jared's kitchen, with Cheerios rolling across the floor to meet his sock. Dear lord, she did need supervision, didn't she?
"No wonder Jared didn't want you left alone with his kid, Sis," Brian said, knowing just how much it annoyed Clarice when he called her that. "He'll be lucky if you don't burn the place down." Glancing at the cereal pieces, then back up at the redhead on the step stool, he cocked an eyebrow up at her. "You do know cereal's best served from a bowl, not off the floor, right?"
