Ed didn't think it mattered. Ed loved Ashleigh. That was the important part, as far as he was concerned. No other girl had been nearly as important to him and even if he wasn't very good at saying it, even if he didn't tend to use a lot of words, he tried to show her how he felt as much as he could.
He let his actions speak for him a bit now, too, as his hands moved gently over her skin, slipping under her shirt again to lightly run over her back. He kissed her lovingly, though there was definitely a hunger behind it as well.
"I love you, too," Ashleigh, he breathed in return between kisses as his hands shifted again, tugging that shirt up a bit more before he started to pull it over her head.
