It didn't matter. Really, it didn't. At least, that's what she kept telling herself.
Deep down, she knew that it wasn't fair for her to keep dwelling on his past. He couldn't change it and it was a part of who he was. If she was going to love him, she had to love all of him, not just the bits and pieces that were flawless.
Most importantly, Ed said that he loved her, that she was the first and only girl he'd ever loved. How he touched the women in his past didn't matter. There'd never been this much emotion behind it until now. She just had to believe it. She just had to work at thinking of only that.
"Ed," she murmured again, though, this time her tone didn't indicated hesitation or protest. "I love you."
