Small talk definitely wasn't their forte. Lyla nodded as she answered her question, somehow finding other things to say, way to fill the silences between drinks and bites of food. She tried not to blush or otherwise react the times when their hands accidentally brushed together while reaching for the same thing at once, but dinner passed more or less uneventfully and soon they were heading back towards his truck.
It had gotten colder out since they'd come inside and Lyla couldn't help a slight shiver as they stepped back outside.
"I'm definitely ready for it to be spring again," she muttered, more to herself than anything.
