Feelings. Sucked. No, really. They did. Most of them did, anyway, save for a select few good ones. Since when was he life this dramatic anyway? Sure, it was dramatic. It was crazy. But things like this weren't actually supposed to happen!
Despite it all, however she felt towards him, and whatever thoughts still lingered in her mind... she was certain that this was the right thing. It was the smart thing. It was... the safe thing. All of those were important, weren't they? She chewed her bottom lip lightly as she looked down for a moment, hair falling into her face just a bit.
She. Felt. Horrible.
Arms were folded tightly over her chest as she 'huff'ed for a moment and glared at him a bit, eyes rolling skyward before she looked back at him. Actually admitting that he was right? Yeah, no. She hated admitting that he was right about anything, let alone something like that. "Don't give me that look," she finally said in a slightly annoyed tone. "Anyway, I'm talking to you now, aren't I?"
And there. The nerves were back and a part of her wanted to turn on heel and walk away while she still kind of could. Or, she could just avoid the entire conversation all together! That sounded like a damn good plan as well and they could just... talk about something else. Anything but what she had really stopped him to talk about. She tucked her hair behind her ear before speaking again, letting out a sigh. "Flattered. Really, I am. The fact you'd give me a few moments out of your precious time? So very, very thoughtful and generous of you."
Her keys were clutched a little more rightly in her hand and they pressed into the skin which, had she been paying attention, probably would have hurt. But as it was, she was hardly noticing things like that. It took her a moment to look back at him, her shoulders tensing a bit before she spoke. "I think... I think we both know what I'm here about," she finally said in a hurried voice, obviously eager to get this out. Better than dragging on and on, right?
... too bad, for a second there, her mouth didn't seem to want to open and she couldn't seem to form the words. But that quickly passed and, avoiding looking at him again, she spoke up.
