Jade was way too hung up on Bryan to have even tried to date someone else. She'd contemplated it, but thinking that it would make it stop hurting. It wasn't going to, she knew it wouldn't, so she didn't even bother. As aforementioned, this was the first chance she'd given any guy that wasn't Bryan, since he left.
Her phone beeped again as she stood there and she flipped it open. she texted him back, saying "Don't move." How was he so close? Why was he there? How did he know she was there? There were SO many questions, but right then she just wanted to find him.. to see if it was real and that she wasn't going to wake up from some horrible dream in the next moment or two.
She started back through the house, trying to find the back deck. Finally the door was just across the kitchen from her. She stopped, in the middle of the kitchen, taking a deep breath and sticking her phone back in her clutch. Finally, she slipped through the sliding glass door and looked around through the people, for the one she was looking for.
He looked like a different person. She was walking, but when she caught sight of him, she stopped, frozen. Her lips parted and her heart was in her throat, then all of a sudden, she had an incredible smile across her face.
