Being such opposites was, in David's mind, exactly why he and Emma meshed together so well. They both brought out things in each other that might not normally come out. David definitely didn't laugh as much or have nearly as much fun with anyone else.
Anyway, their goals weren't so different. He was focused on school now, but once he finished, he full intended to settle down, get married, have a family. Oddly enough, he pictured himself ending up with someone very much like Emma, even though he wouldn't allow himself the fantasy of being with her.
"I bet you make an excellent doctor," he smirked, "and I'd be more than glad to share.. In fact, I think I can go as far as to say I'll be looking forward to it."
