David didn't mind at all that she was lingering in the hug. He quite liked hugging Emma, a good deal more than he should, probably, and he would have been content to hold it even longer.
She smiled at him and David couldn't help thinking again that she was possibly the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen. He'd always thought it, but when she smiled like that, it was even more obvious to him.
He nodded at her with a smile when she asked him to help her with the necklace. Carefully, he pulled the chain around her neck and he couldn't resist a soft, innocent kiss to that spot right where her neck met her shoulder as he fastened the clasp.
