Emma kept her arms around him, lingering in the hug for several long minutes before she pulled away.
She felt better, then. Her mood didn't suddenly change because he'd given her presents. Not that the presents weren't amazing... it was the hug. Having a set of arms wrapped around her as a show of affection rather than an attempt at getting her out of her clothes.
"Thank you," she repeated, her smile lighting up her entire face.
Again, Emma thought about kissing him but decided to put it off a little longer. "Let me go change," she mumbled. "Then we can get out of here and I can have you all to myself."
She was definitely going to kiss him later but, for now, she was enjoying... not kissing him.
She stood, then, and made her way toward the stairs with the necklace in her hand.
It didn't take her long to change from her sweats into a pair of jeans and a tight fitting black sweater. When she came back she felt a lot more like herself and that showed in her entire demeanor.
The necklace wasn't hanging around her neck when she stepped in front of him, it was still clasped firmly in her hand. She held it out for him to take. "Will you help me put it on?" she asked before turning her back to him and flipping her hair over her shoulder.
Yes, she was more than capable of doing it herself. She just wanted him to do it.
