She was his rock, just as much. Harry didn't say it much, but he'd needed to be around her when Evan had died. He'd needed that connection to someone who had loved Evan as much as he had and being around Anna -and, later, Ryder- had done as much to help him as it had them.
He pulled her close as he returned the hug, letting his hand move soothingly through her hair, whispering words of comfort and reassurance.
"We'll work it out, I promise," he told her softly, his own eyes closing for a moment, needing that comfort just as much. He had to believe they would - that together they could handle this.
"C'mon," he coaxed, pulling back after a long moment and pressing a quick kiss to her forehead. "We'll go check on Ryder together."
