Seriously? Those few minutes might was well have been an eternity. If Autumn had been on the other foot in this situation, and someone had told her all that, she would have had the same reaction. But she was the one running her mouth... again.
She hadn't realized that she had been holding her breath until he started talking and she let it out. She still didn't look at him, just fidgeted with her head down as she listened. Maybe Autumn truly didn't understand exactly how dangerous being involved with him was, but in the back of her head, she kept telling herself that she knew, and that she didn't care. She'd go through it if it meant she could be with him. She was taking it all in in silence until he made the comment about fucking only him. She couldn't stop her self from laughing. Leave it to him to make a comment like that. "Fair enough."
Once she was finish with her small bout of laughter, she finally had it in her to look at him. "Maybe some things are worth the risk?" She wasn't trying to argue with him again. Call her a die hard romantic (who read Jane Austen a little too often), but she truly believed that sacrifices had to be made, and risks had to be taken, to get what you truly want.
She held up her wrist to show him the bracelet she had on. "It's gorgeous, by the way."
