And dammit, she knew it too, without him even having to say it. She was being a complete and total jackass. Problem was, how the hell was she going to fix that? She couldn't just back down so quickly, and she wanted to just calm down enough to make sense of what she's saying. It seemed like she had the same argument, not only with him, but with herself, about how he felt. He was definitely right. Actions did speak louder than words, so why couldn't she just... accept that? Why did she have to hear him say something meaningful?
...But he had said she was worth it. That was something. He may have yelled it, yes, but he had said it. Okay. Calm down, and stop being a jackass. Oh, and think rationally while you're at it?
"...You're absolutely right." She said more to her feet than to him. She took a deep breath and looked up at him. She pushed some hair behind one of her ears before continuing. "I guess the reason why I snapped was because I assumed something that may or may not have been true. I think what's really bothering me is..." That I can literally feel you tense up and put a wall up every time i ask you about anything remotely talking about anything serious between us? "That I don't know exactly how strong I should let my feelings for you get." She was already in too deep. It was really a matter of if they were on the same page about this. She had no idea what he figured the boundries were. "And." She held up her hand as if to say stop, don't speak yet. "Before you say anything, I know how far they're supposed to get. I'm asking... how far they can." Meaning she didn't want to hear anything else about his job not allowing it. If they were going to actually adhere to the whole not getting close thing, they wouldn't have seen each other nearly as often as they had. They had already gotten in too deep with that, she was fully aware.
