Autumn would have done almost anything to get him to come see her on Christmas. No, she wasn't desperate, but she missed him, and she didn't think anyone should be lonely on the Holidays, especially not her. She technically hadn't been, but sometimes, in a crowd of people, you could still be the loneliest person on earth.
She gave him a knowing look when he filled her plate with food. There was no way she was going to eat all that, and she knew he knew that. Before diving into her own food, she waited for his approval on it.
Suddenly she realized she had left out the barbeque sauce, steak sauce and worchestshire sause, not sure which he prefered, so she grabbed them all and brought them back to the table. "Didn't know which you'd rather have. Taste good enough?"
