Messed up? Well, maybe just a little. Zeph wasn't the kind of guy who cried all too often, so when he did, something had to be messed up.
He hadn't moved from the couch since the phone call ended, but at least he'd managed to dry his eyes. When the door bell sounded, he hesitated for the longest while before getting up and walking out in the hallway. Hand on the handle, he bit his lip before shaking his head and opening the door. Not fully, but just enough to see who was out there, and have a decent communication with them. 'Them' of course being Zeke.
He left it to the other to start the conversation if he wished, as Zeph frankly couldn't come up with anything to say that wasn't a repeat of anything he'd already said or just nonsense.
