This is not how they were supposed to spend this time together. She was supposed to be happy not distraught because of the stunt her mother had pulled. Ed was supposed to be getting to know her father, not holding her because she couldn't keep it together.
She leaned against him, pressing her tear stained face into his t-shirt, taking comfort in his familiar smell.
"Sooo... those are my parents," she sighed after she'd taken several moments to calm herself. "What do you think? Leave It To Beaver or what?"
