WHO Maible Gallagher and OPEN WHAT First Day! WHEN Monday Dec 17, Morning WHERE her locker at LPA STATUS Incomplete // OPEN to any and all LPAers
First day at a new school. It had been hard leaving Seattle behind, but it wasn't as though Maible had a ton of friends there. Besides, Chicago had horses and.. most of the things she'd liked about Seattle and she would adjust. Her father was here, too, and even if her mother didn't necessarily like it, Maible was ecstatic to have him close by.
She'd found her locker easily enough and she bit her lip, brow furrowing in concentration as she looked down at the combination in her hand and twisted the dial.
It was empty, now, of course, but she hung her coat inside on the hook and neatly organized her extra pencils and notebooks, pulling out only what she'd need for her classes today.
Now, she just had to work on finding those classes. And trying not to make a tremendous fool of herself, somehow.
Two of his worst subjects, their finals conveniently placed on the very same Monday morning. Sebastian wasn't at all looking forward to French and Pre-Cal finals. In fact, the way he felt now, he'd rather be dead than about to do the French one. Still with some time left before his impending doom, he was not doing last-minute revising - he'd learnt over the years that that just gave him even worse results in the end - he was strolling around the hallways, head buzzing from French words and Pre-Cal terms.
Finding himself in the hallway where he had his locker, he was overcome with the need for chewing gum. Only problem? They were in his locker, and someone else was currently standing in the way of it.
"Excuse me," he said, a little harsher than he meant due to his nerves. "I need to get into my locker."

Just.. great.
She didn't even really have to take finals. Well, she did, but it was more of a way to gauge where she was compared to everyone else, so they could figure out what classes she should take next semester. It wasn't like she was going to be graded, coming in so late.
You'd think, with that in mind, that she could make it through a day without pissing anyone off, right? Apparently not.

[info]mindkeys 2007-12-13 17:57 (link) DeleteFreezeScreen Select Sebastian made a face at the stuttered excuse. "Nerves," he tried to explain, although he wasn't sure how much that one word would explain. "Two finals, hate them both," he added, managing a smile he hoped would come across as friendly. "Just... need to get into my locker."
Motioning to the locker next to hers, he figured he might as well introduce himself. He hadn't seen her around before, and if they'd shared a hallway, he ought to have. Either she'd switched lockers for some reason, or she was new. "I'm Sebastian, by the way."

[info]thetisgift 2007-12-14 00:42 (link) DeleteFreezeScreen Select Maible nodded, letting out a nervous breath and feeling somewhat reassured that she hadn't completely ruined her entire social standing at this school or something. Not that she really expected to have any of that to speak of, of course..
"I'm Maible," she returned his greeting. "We just moved here."
