Ashleigh felt better when his fingers moved over her cheek and his lips pressed against hers. She wasn't saying that they had to stop... she just wanted to be up front before that pivotal moment.
"I know what I said," she sighed. "It's just... I was really worked up then and, honestly, as good as your fingers feel I was thinking that I might want... more. I don't know. Then, Dari interrupted and I got to thinking and... you don't even know my Daddy yet. I... I know I love you but my Daddy doesn't even really know that you exist and I think that he should definitely meet the guy I intend to take such a huge step with."
She hated it when she babbled like this but once she'd started, she couldn't seem to shut herself up. This was definitely one of those occasions.
"I... I know you wouldn't... I just thought it would be best if I told you now... rather than, you know, later."
