Lyla nodded through his babble. Honestly, she was kind of enjoying just listening to him talk and, for once, it wasn't just because she liked his accent. It was nice, just talking about.. something halfway normal. Anything that could take her mind off of what had just happened.
She wasn't sure if she believed his next words, even if she should, even if they were true. It was just hard to believe she hadn't done something.. wrong. It was hard to believe there'd really just been no reason for it, that she'd simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Nonetheless, she was grateful to him for saying it. And for everything else. "Thank you," she said finally, after a long silence. "Really, I owe you... so much."
