Who: Matt Kane and Lyla Reed What: coming to her rescue Where: outside Matt's dorm When: backdated to December 11, Late night Rating: PG-13-ish, some violence Status: incomplete/closed
Today had started out good, at any rate. A chance encounter on campus had brought Lyla over to Matt's place and they'd gotten up to their usual antics. She still felt guilty as hell for what she was doing with him, for the way she was hiding it from everyone, even Tessie, but.. the longer it went on, the harder it got to resist. The more she didn't want to.
Matt had bumped into her on campus after during a break in her studying and he'd asked her to lunch. Which, in there world, meant very little eating and plenty steaming up the windows of his truck.
They'd actually made it inside his dorm this time, though, and there'd even been a little bit of idle talking and video game playing afterward before she told him she really needed to get to the library. It wouldn't do to get too comfortable here.
It was several, several hours later when Lyla realized she must have left one of her book behind. She'd had it this morning and it was one she desperately needed, but it had to have fallen out of her bag somewhere in his truck or his dorm.
Crap!
In retrospect, she probably should have just called, but it wasn't like his dorm was far from the library and a brisk walk in the cool night air would probably do her good, wake her up and help her get a few more hours in before she was too tired to keep studying. With that in mind, she pulled her things together and headed back for his place.
It might have been alright if she hadn't stopped to chat with the man lurking around the parking lot of that dorm. He'd smiled at her, seeming friendly enough, and she'd smiled back, giving him a little wave as she started to pass.
Except that the man seemingly had other plans and before Lyla knew it, she was pressed against some vehicle and no matter how much she cried and shook her head and begged him not to, he was ripping at her clothes. He cheek stung where he'd hit her after a particularly loud cry, telling her to shut up or she'd regret it, which only made her cry harder. This wasn't like the times she tried to tell Matt no, when no meant yes and she eventually gave in. This was... scary and horrible, especially for someone who'd never wanted to believe there were people in the world capable of such things.
