Who: Jared and Lilly
What: Surprise visit
When: Backdated to late afternoon on Saturday
Where: Jareds house
Open: Done through AIM
|Lilly| Lilly shifted her backpack on her back and paid the driver before grabbing her duffel bag. She watched the taxi pull out of the driveway and turned back to look at the massive house in front of her. It was gigantic. Putting on her best smile, she made her way to the door, dropping the duffel bag at her feet and ringing the doorbell a few times. It had been at least six years since Lilly had really seen her brother because the funeral sure as hell didn't count. She'd been too busy with their mother to really play catch up with her brothers. Waiting anxiously, she looked down the driveway to admire the car sitting in it and let out a sigh. He'd be excited to see his baby sister, she was sure of it.
|Jared| It was the first Saturday -- No scratch that. It was the first day that Jared had had to himself in a long time. There was always some else in the house to bother him whether it be Clarice or Marissa. That's why today when Carly and Clarice had gotten their sister out for the night he'd hadn't stopped them at all. In fact, he'd locked the door behind them. Currently he was asleep on the couch, completely alone, even void of the dogs since he'd let them out back. Just as he was getting into that deep sleep however, the damn doorbell rang. And rang and rang. He couldn't even ignore the thing! HUffing as the chime continued to sound through the house he rolled off the couch and shuffled to the front door, pulling it open and giving an annoyed "What??" as he looked up at the girl standing there. "Lilly?" Wasn't she suppose to be in Boston?
|Lilly| "Hey Jared!" Lilly jumped when he opened the door and practically tackled him into a hug. Had Jared payed any attention to her journal he would have known that Boston was the last place she wanted to be. "You alright bro? You look like you just rolled out of bed." She smiled at him and picked up her duffel bag, looking at him expectantly, waiting to be invited in.
|Jared| Stumbling as she tackled him into the hug jared just stood there, one arm wrapped around her back, speechles. "Wh--" Looking down at the duffel bad he shook his head, "Oh no. No, no, no. Don't even think about it Lil."
|Lilly| Lilly made a face at him, "Come on. Thats no way to treat your favorite sister." But when he just stood there she slipped her way past him into his house, "Remember when you said i could come visit anytime? Here I am visiting!" She glanced around the house and nodded her head in approval in his direction, "Nice place."
|Jared| "Favorite my ass." Rolling his eyes as she squeezed her way inside he grabbed the bag she was carrying and set it next to the door. "There were also the words 'Just call and let me know'. Where's the call? Because I don't remember getting one."
|Lilly| "Yeah...this was a spur of the moment kind of thing." She smiled up at him, "Besides, I don't think I was ever given the number anyway." She took off her backpck and tossed it next to her other bag, "And that hurts. I should be your favorite sister."
|Jared| Shaking his head he pointed at her, "You definitely got your lying skills from mom's side of the family because not having my number is the biggest bunch of bull I have ever heard." He walked over to where she was and grabbed her by the elbow, leading her back towards the door, "And I have no favorite sister."
|Lilly| "But I wanted to surprise you!" She insisted as he started pulling her back towards the door. It took her a few minutes to finally yank her arm free. "Look! I just need a place to stay until mom cools off!" She started pleading with him, "I'm your sister! And this is a huge house with lots of empty rooms. You can't kick me out."
|Jared| "It's my house, I can, in fact, do whatever I want." his hand was on the doorknob when some of her words finally registered. "Cool off?" It took everything humanly bad in the world happening at once to make their mom mad enough to have to cool down, "What'd you do?"
|Lilly| She shook her head and let her gaze drift around the house as she spoke. "I dropped out of college....And told mom over the phone." She paused, "Once I was out of the state." She looked back at him and shrugged her shoulders, "It was only community college." But her mother always made a huge deal out of Lilly and going to college. A really really big deal.
|Jared| His eyes got bigh and his hand went to pinch the brdige of his nose, "You've got to be shitting me Lil. Why would you do that and then think I'd cover your ass?" So much for his day of peace and quiet. "Mom's going to fucking kill me."
|Lilly| "I just need a place to stay. It's not like I'm asking you to cover for me. Or you could even lie. Say ya haven't seen me." She looked up at her brother with big eyes.
|Jared| He didn't say anything, just stood there staring at her, trying to figure out what do to. "I..." damn women and their fucking puppy sog eyes, and the fucking pouty lip!! Damn his sisters for knowing just how to get to him! "All you'd get is the basement."
|Lilly| "The basement is fine with me!" She jumped at it and gave him another big hug. "You'll hardly know I'm here. I won't bother you at all!" She didn't want to push her luck and ask why she got the basement when it was such a big house. At least not yet. "I knew you were my favorite brother for a reason."
|Jared| "Oh Jesus..." He caught her as she jumped into his arms, "Yeah, yeah, whatever...you just can't stay here today." Just one day. Jared just wanted one day of peace and quiet to himself. With marissa and her sister and know his own sister he knew that wasn't going to be happening anytime soon.
|Lilly| She gave him a baffled, confused look. "But...why? Where am I suppose to go?" The man made no sense. Not that he ever really had. "I won't bother you. I promise."
|Jared| "Because I fucking said so thats why. It's my house and I want one day in it without being bothered by someone. Go to Brians...I don't fucking care. Today's the only day I could get my own hose to myself. Now go." He opened the door and pointed out it.
|Lilly| "But I don't know where Brian Lives. And I just got here. I want a shower and a nap." her eyes grew big again, " And what do you mean it's the only day you get the house to yourself? Someone else lives here?" She took a step away from the door and out of his reach.
|Jared| "I'll tell you his adress and you can take a shower there." Dropping his head when she stepped away he couldn't do anything but shake it. "No. I don't. So...Go. To. Brians."
|Lilly| "But Jared!" She whined, "I promise I won't bother you." Her eyes were still big and confused. "Just show me my room and I'll- " She stopped at the sound of dogs barking. "Do you have a dog?" But without giving h9im a chance to answer she scurried towards the sound, through the kitchen to the back door, which she opened to reveal two large dogs barreling their way into the house, both greeting her.
|Jared| Slamming the door shut when she ran to the back of the house Jared had no choice but to follow her. "Dammit Lilly!" Bear immediately ran over to him and jumped up, "No Bear. Not now. Go lay down." Of course with someone new in the house there was no way the dog was going to lay down. "Do you have no sense of what the word tomorrow means? Or privacy? How about that one?" Funny how jared was asking other people about having manners. "Sammy! No fucking licking. You know better than that." Stupid fucking dogs.
|Lilly| Lilly looked up at Jared, still petting the big dog. "Look. I said I would leave you alone. I won't bother you." She turned back to the big dog who was still likcing her face. The dog paid absolutely no attention to Jared whatsoever. "These are th most precious dogs ever!"
|Jared| Ignoring his sister Jared moved to open the back door, sliditing it all the way and grabbing Sammy's collar. "Why do you only fucking listen to Marissa you big dumb mutt?" The dog was reluctant to go outside but he managed to get him out there. "You too Bear." She walked out on her own. "Now if only I could get you to listen that well." His attention was turned back to Lilly.
|Lilly| Lilly stood up and watched the dogs go back outside. Tilting her head to the side she gave Jared a look, "Marissa? Isn't she your agent?" Lilly never really paid attention but she'd heard the named dropped before. walking right by him again she grabbed her bags and gave Jared a look. "So, where will I be sleeping?"
|Jared| "Yes, what's it matter?" Why was it that no girl he associated with ever listened to a word he ever said? They all just ignored him and did what they wanted anyways. "At Brians. 'Bout ten minutes from here. Can't see the water as well but his couch is decent. have fun. No go." His eyes flicked towards the front door where he was hoping she'd head.
|Lilly| She stared at him and then started towards the door that she assumed was the basement. Grant it, it turned out to be a closet. Wasn't setting her back any. Instead she headed towards his stairs, giving herself a tour "Really nice place you got here..."
|Jared| Rolling his eyes when she walked into the closet he just leaned back against the wall. "Glad you lie it. Get out Lilly. I'll pay for a hotel. I don't care." Picking up the duffel bag he carried it to the front door, opened said door, and then threw it on the doorstep. Of course by that time she was done climbing the stairs and heading towards the first room that was there. The room with the baby basket he'd given Marissa. "Fuck!" Now he was moving. Running up the stairs he cought her and wrapped an arm around her waist, picking her up and turning them around just a few steps before the door, "A basement is never up the stairs."
|Lilly| Lilly was a little stunned when Jared grabbed her and whirled her around. "damn dude. You got something to hide?" She gave him a look. "And I know that. But I figured if you won't just show me I was gonna look around. Now you wanna show me a room in the basement or whats in there?" She pointed to the room he'd pulled her away from.
|Jared| "Neither. I'm gonna show you back to the door." Still dragging her he headed towards the stairs. "Nothing in that room concerns you." Not that there was in anything in the room to begin with. Just the basket sitting on a chair.
|Lilly| "Well, let me ask you," She said while squirming, trying to get away. "What does an empty room with a basket have to do with you?"
|Jared| "It's got enough to do with me and nothing to do with you. In other words, mind your own business." Why did Marissa have to leave the basket where everyone and their mother could see it? "Upstairs is off limits, plain and simple. No tour for you or anyone else. The mainfloor and the masement is all you'll be seeing when you come back."
|Lilly| "Jared! I'm not leaving! What kind of person are you? Thorwing your exhausted, confused sister out when all she wanted to do is sleep." She finally pulled away and backed up from him. "I'll stay out of your business if you'll just let me go sleep." For now at least.
|Jared| "You've known me your entire life, are you really surprised by it?" Taking a step towards he he reached out and closed the door next to her. Lilly wasn't going to be looking inside that room anytime soon. "If you're staying in my house you're living in my business! And don't try to play innocent with me Lilly because I know you know better than that. You're fucking nosier than Pinocchio."
|Lilly| "Right. Because you know so much about me." She snapped at him. She was tired and cranky and he was trying to kick her out. "You said I could stay so just show me where I can sleep. If I go to Brian's he'll call mom and put me on the first plane home. Please." She asked, pleading as her exhaustion showed through.
|Jared| Growing tired he glared at her. "Find the basement your fucking self Lilly." What? She'd been the one to show up at his door unannounced and then gotten snappy at the not so warm reception. "Just leave me the fuck alone and if I find you up here I won't hesistate to kick you out. Sister or not." Brushing past her he opened his bedroom door, "Ignore Marissa and Clarice. They'll be in late. Stay downstairs." It wasn't like he was being horribly cruel. She'd be in the fully furnished basement with the theatre, sauna, pool table, bar, and a huge fucking bathroom. "And by the end of tomorrow you're going to call mom and tell her that you're fine and with us or I'll put you on my own plane and send youf ucking back." So...he really wouldn't but the guy wasn't in the best of moods anymore and you could hear it in his voice.
|Lilly| Lilly rolled her eyes and let out a sigh, "Fine." She made her way down the stairs and grabbed her bags (including the one he'd tossed out the door) snd started to find her way to the basement. When she found the stairs leading to the basement, she paused and yelled up the stairs, :Love you too Ferret face!" And with that, she went downstairs for her much needed shower and nap.
