Hayden was a very strong, independent girl. With a past like hers, it was almost inevitable to shut people out and not trust them. But right now, she really just needed Ollie here. She had come to terms with the fact that she wasn't the most pleasant to the majority of people, and that she wasn't the most clean cut, respectable youth by any means. The gravity of finding out who she was made her feel like there was no way out for her. She didn't have anywhere else to go but down, and she was pretty low already. She just felt like a caged animal. She had no control over anything, and she hated that.
She closed her journal and tossed it on the bed, not really wanted to hear anything else after Ollie said he'd be coming over. That in itself was something out of the ordinary for her, admitting she needed someone, even if it was only to herself, but Ollie was different. He never really minded the way she acted. In fact, he seemed to even like it. And the fact that he wasn't phased by the knowledge of who she was, something that solidified the fact that she was a bad person, made it that much easier for her to ask him over. She slowly, quietly made her way out the front door, not wanting to wake anyone in the house, because they'd make her turn around and go right back inside. She sat down on the porch swing out front, softly swinging, sitting with her legs bent underneath her as she waited to see Ollie's headlights.
