Who: Ashleigh (Sister) and Ed (The Giant)
What: Ashleigh drunk dialing Ed
When: Saturday, October 6, 2007 - late night
Rating: PG-13?
Status: Incomplete | Phone Call
After beignets, a trip to the mall and a tattoo, Ashleigh and Dari had eventually made it to a club. After a while on the dance floor, Ashleigh had needed no encouragement when Dari had slipped an alcoholic beverage into her hand. It was pretty, cold, filled with ice... she hadn't even questioned it before she had turned the cup up to her head and downed the contents. Alcohol or no alcohol, it was good, cold and really quenched her thirst.
As the night progressed, they danced, drank, danced and drank. The music was far too loud, they didn't have on nearly enough clothes, the drinks were strong... needless to say, they were having a blast.
At some point during the night, they'd ended up taking a break from dancing and Dari had demanded that Ash drink some water and eat a little something. Ashleigh had, of course had ... twelve (or so) too many Hurricanes and was giggling more than she was eating. Of course, Dari kept making her giggle so her continuous laughter wasn't remotely out of place.
"I miss Ed," she announced randomly. Only, it wasn't so random because Dari had just been teasing her about the tall football player that she'd left in Boston. "I think I'm going to call him!"
That hit her as the best idea she'd ever had and before Dari could weigh in on it, Ashleigh had her phone out and had hit the speed dial for Ed. (Yes, she had him on speed dial now... something that amused Dari to no end.)
She giggled at her friend again, as the phone rang. What the hell was taking Ed so long anyway? (Who cared if it was really really late.)

Ed? Ed was at some party. Alone, basically. Except, you know, for the blonde cheerleader who was practically hanging all over him, but that wasn't his fault. He wasn't especially interested in her, but it would be rude to just not talk to her at all, right?
Right. Plus, they'd been drinking and he really liked this song, so even though he was thinking about how he'd much rather be with Ashleigh, he'd agreed when the flirty blonde suggested they dance.
That girl was forgotten, though, the second her heard Ashlaigh's ringtone - just barely, through the music and loudness - and he excused himself to go answer his phone.
"Hey, you!" he greeted cheerfully into the phone. So what if it was late? He missed her and was really glad to hear from her,

If Ashleigh would've known about said blonde cheerleader, a part of her would've been slightly crushed. They weren't together but she viewed herself as 'taken'. Sure, she'd danced with a few guys that night but... none of them had hung all over her and if they'd flirted, she hadn't really picked up on it at all.
When Ed answered the phone, Ashleigh was still giggling at Dari. She snapped to attention, though, and returned a slightly slurred, "Heeeey sexxxy! Whatcha doin?"
Yeah, she was definitely drunk but that was okay! She was having a blast... even if she was saying things she wouldn't normally say.

Well, Ed wasn't exactly reciprocating or anything. More like being polite/friendly and, you know, having a good time. Nothing to feel guilty over, so he didn't, especially when he'd much rather have Ashleigh close by.
He laughed at her greeting, smirking against his phone. "You've been drinking," he observed, stating the obvious. It was kind of cute, the way she slurred and he definitely enjoyed the giggles he could hear from the other end, especially when he heard a not so quiet "I can't believe you said that," coming from who he could only assume was her friend.. Dar-something.. followed by more giggling.
"Having a good time, then?" he sked, still smirking quite a bit.

Of course it was nothing to feel guilty over. He didn't belong to Ashleigh in any way... she had no hold on him. Just as he had no hold on her. (Even if she was being a good girl.)
"Only a very little tiny bit," she answered with a smile, holding up her fingers to indicate just how little. Not that he could see such a motion.
"Well, he is sexy," she told Dari matter-of-factly. "You act like I just called him 'Mr. Football', or something."
Of course, that phrase sent her into another round of giggles.
"I... an having a brilliant time," she slurred into the phone. "This hurricane thingys are quite tastey and I think I'll have another just as soon as I've eaten these french fries." Pause. "What about you are you having a good time?"
She hadn't really paid attention to the background noise coming through Ed's phone, she was much more focused on him and her own background noise.
"You should be here," she decided suddenly. "I'm much rather have you rubbing up against me than these boys that keep coming to dance on Dari and I."

"A tiny little bit, eh?" he asked, wholly unable to hide the amusement in his tone. He couldn't help laughing as she proclaimed him sexy and again at the rather amusing nickname she'd just used.
"Oh, I'm having a great time now," he told her. He'd been having fun before, but now? Now that he was talking to an obviously intoxicated Ashleigh, he was definitely enjoying himself even more.
"I wish I was there," he told her, moving over to a quieter corner of the room and settling himself on the sofa. "It sounds like quite the party and I miss you."

"Yeah," she agreed brightly. "Just a little tiny bit." Pause. "It's that noticeable?"
A huge grin crawled over her features when he implied that he was having a great time now that she'd called. That made happier than she would normally admit. Honestly, a part of her had almost expected him to forget about her while she was away.
"You'll have to come with me next time," she told him with a firm nod of her head. "Then I can get you drunk and take advantage of you... since I'm sure that's what Dari's plan is."
It took a moment for what he'd said to register but her grin grew again. "I miss you too." Pause. "How much do you miss me?"

"Just a little tiny bit," he echoed back at her. He was grinning, a little amused at this side of Ashleigh. He'd never really seen her have more than one or two drinks before and.. this was definitely entertaining.
"Oh, will I?" he teased. It actually wasn't a bad idea, him going to New Orleans with her sometime. That? Would be a whole lot of fun and he wouldn't definitely take her up on the invitation if it still stood when she was sober.
"I miss you a whole lot," he told her seriously, his tone growing a little softer, "but I'm glad you're having a good time."

"Yes. You most definitely will." Pause. "You should also tell Dari that we're not dating. She seems to think that we are 'officially dating,'" her fingers made quotes in the air, "and that she is entitled to my virginity."
That probably wasn't what he expected to hear but as soon as it was out of her mouth, she was focused on how much me missed her. "Bunches and bunches?" she confirmed with a huge grin. "Oh, yeah. I'm having the best time!"
A drunken Ashleigh could really stay focused on one section of a conversation so she bounced around a lot without giving him much time to answer.

"..." Ed didn't really know what to say to that, not that he could really get a word out before she'd moved on to say something else, so he just laughed.
"Yes, bunches and bunches," he confirmed. "I'm glad you're having a good time, but it'll be nice to have you back here again."

"Is that a fact?" she asked cockily, the alcohol obviously inflating her confidence level. "What exactly do you plan to do to me when I'm back in Boston?"
She winked at Dari as the question left her mouth. Sure, she wouldn't normally flirt in such a way but... well, she was drunk and she just didn't care about what she was saying.

"It is a fact," he said with a grin. He really liked this side of Ashleigh, he decided. Especially the whole flirting thing, and he could think of about a million really inappropriate answers to her question.
"Oh, I have a few ideas," he told her with a smirk.

At this point, Ed couldn't come up with an 'inappropriate' answer. She knew what she was asking and she knew what answers a boy like himself could come up with. Why, yes, it was her big plan to make him think of sex with her. What else would a drunken Ashleigh want him to think about?
"Well, I can't wait for you to show me these ideas..."
Something that Dari said sent her into another round of giggles and it took a moment for her to get it under control.
"Have you noticed how touchy-feely you are when you're drinking?" she asked the girl, ignoring Ed for a brief second. "No. No. I don't mind... was just asking if you noticed."
She popped another fry in her mouth, took a swallow of her water, then focused back on the phone. "It wont be much longer before Dari and I get back on the dance floor." Pause. "What are you doing with your evening?"

"Mmmm, neither can I," he mumbled his agreement. "I miss you.. I can't wait to kiss you and touch you.. oh.." he trailed off when she turned her attention to her friend, his imagination doing a fine job of picturing what might have prompted that.
"Oh.. the usual post-game party," he answered her last question. "It's not nearly as much fun without you."

Ashleigh hadn't missed his words and the second she'd stopped talking her attention had focused back on that...
"You can't wait to what, now?" she asked, a smile apparent in her voice. "I think you should definitely keep going because that certainly sounds like something I'm interested in at the moment."

Ed laughed and shifted slightly in his seat. "I want to take you dancing when you get back... so I have an excuse to hold you close... I want to kiss you until neither of us can breathe.."
Of course, there was more he wanted to do, but he was trying to be a gentleman here.

Ashleigh grinned. "You don't need an excuse..." she returned, not bothering to hide her words from the girl sitting across from her. "You're more than welcome to touch me when ever you want."
Her own thoughts hadn't been so gentlemanly but she did manage to keep herself from voicing them... for the moment, at least.
It was nice being drunk... she had no filter when she was drunk and she could talk about anything in the world without babbling and blushing.

"I'll definitely keep that in mind when you get back here," he told her softly. His thoughts were definitely far from gentlemanly at the moment, even if he was managing to behave and not sound like a complete pig. "Because I definitely like touching you.."

"The second I get home, I hope..." she corrected in a flirty tone. "Getting home is going to be a long enough wait... I don't know if I'll be able to contain myself much longer than that."
Yeah. Alcohol definitely had an effect on Ashleigh and that was showing in her sudden... desires.

"Yes, the second you get home.. right there in the airport," he agreed, even if he wasn't likely to actually make out with her in the middle of the airport.
"I'd hate to keep you waiting, after all.. I'd come down there right now if I could.."

"Yes, please," she agreed quickly.
Dari mumbled then and Ashleigh fell into another fit of laughter.
"If you were here, right now, I'm afraid you'd be forced to fight Dari over me. I'm telling you, she thinks she has dibs on my virginity..."

"Well.. tell Dari you're my girl and she needs to get in line," he teased lightly. Obviously, she wasn't actually his and he really didn't mind.. whatever she was doing with Dari (in fact, it was quite nice to picture), but he couldn't resist saying it anyway.

Ashleigh giggled when Ed said that Dari needed to get in line. "I've tried to tell her that my virginity belongs to you but she's rather insistent and... the girl can be quite persuasive when she wants to be."
In all honesty, there wasn't anything serious between her and Dari. Sure, they'd made that silly bet and they'd kissed a time or two but she knew that Dari wouldn't push for anything that she didn't feel comfortable doing.
Ashleigh couldn't deny being extremely attracted to the darked haired beauty, though, and alcohol only enhanced those feelings. Of course, alcohol seemed to enhance how she felt about Ed as well.

"Hmmm, well, be sure to video that for me if she happens to win out, okay?" he teased. Ed wasn't even remotely worried about Ashleigh and the girl. She'd said she was completely straight and.. not like he'd have a right to be upset or jealous if she did do something.
He was joking with his comment, though. Mostly. He couldn't deny that the mental image of the two girls together turned him on quite a bit.

Ashleigh gave an amused laugh when he requested she capture it on video. "I vow to put my camera phone to good use if anything of interest happens," she teased in return.
No, he didn't have a right to be upset or jealous but, honestly, a part of her wouldn't mind if he did. They weren't dating but she was conducting herself as if they were... at least, she was when it came to other boys.
"I think Dari's getting antsy," she explained after another moment. "We're meant to dance some more before we go home and I'm almost ready to get on with that going home thing. This tattoo is itching me to death and I'm really ready to take off my pants."

Oh.. oh, Ed was getting more nice visuals there.
"I wish I was there to help you with that," he told her seriously. He knew she'd never let him, but, hey, a guy could dream.
"I won't keep you any longer, but.. I'm glad you called," he added, smiling into the phone. "And I look forward to seeing you Monday.." He definitely, definitely was.

Under usual circumstances, she wouldn't let him help her out of her pants. At the moment, though, that seemed like a rather brilliant idea.
"I've got this cream I'm supposed to rub on it until it's healed... you'll help me with that when I get home?"
She knew they were getting off of the phone but she couldn't quite help herself.
"Me too," she mumbled. "I'm sure I'll be aching to spend some time with you by the time my plane lands."
That was true with or without alcohol. She was definitely missing him and Monday couldn't come soon enough.

"Mmmhmm, I'll help you rub cream anywhere you want me to," he assured her. Oh, it was probably her alcohol talking and he probably wouldn't actually get so lucky, but he could dream, right..
"I miss you, too, Ashleigh," he told her softly. "See you Monday.." As he hung up the phone, he smiled at it for a few moments before pushing himself off the sofa and heading for the door. Suddenly, heading back to his room seemed like a really good idea.
