Micah had taken notice of Rylee's apparent lack of dates over the years, as she said so over the journals. He decided he should be the one to remedy that. A girl like her should get asked out on dates. It took him a while to pick out what to send her with his note, because she sure as hell was not going to send her flowers. That was completely corny and cliched. He wouldn't send things like that, and she deserved more thought to be put into it.
His final customer had gotten his tattoo and been sent on his way not but five minutes ago, and the only one's left in the shop last night was Micah and Kendra, the receptionist. He was cleaning up his station, and eyeing the clock. Rylee would be here in five minutes, and he still had to change. He tried speeding up the process, not paying attention to the fact that the young receptionist step into the room. He just suddenly felt a tap on his shoulder, making him jump ever so slightly. He scowled as he turned to face her. "Jesus Christ, don't do that."
"Oh. Sorry. Well, I'm going to get out of here, unless you need me to do anything else." She was grinning and twirling her hair a lot, making Micah wonder what exactly the 'anything else' was that she was thinking of. She wasn't moving back from him either. In fact, it seemed like she was moving closer. "No, you're free to go." Still, the girl didn't make a move to leave. Before it could even register to him what was going on, her lips were pressed firmly against his. Her body was pressing his against the counter behind him.
Micah was too shocked to move. His arm bent at the elbow, like he was about to brace her, but didn't dare touch her. He was still too shocked she was kissing him. Was the girl bipolar? Because she always seemed unpleasant when.... Oh my God. When other girls came to see him. It made sense now, and while he was trying to get over the initial shock, and before he could even think to push her off, she had one hand resting on his chest, the other curled behind his neck.
