Fic: Video Night
I wonder, is it better to post fics you've probably all read in the name of content and activity? Or should I refrain? Decisions, decisions.
For now,
Title: Video Night Pairing: Red X/Robin Rating: PG-13 Warnings: fluff and crack
The first time Robin comes back to his room to find Red X watching dvds on his computer, he doesn't ask how Red hacked the password, how he got in the Tower or even why he is there. Instead he just points to the door and says, "Get out."
Red refuses and Robin is too tired to fight, so he says, "Don't steal or break anything."
When he wakes up in the morning nothing is gone.
*~*
The second time Red walks in just as Robin is leaving the shower, maskless and wearing a fluffy white towel wrapped around his waist.
The two stare at each other, before Red slowly pulls off his own mask and slumps onto the bed, throwing a dvd case at him.
Robin sets the dvd going, before grabbing jogging bottoms and changing in the bathroom.
*~*
The third time Robin was napping, and wakes up when there's the sound of explosions and Vin Diesel shouting something. He's a little confused as to why he's staring at a black clad hip, until he finally remembers that only Red has that terrible taste in films.
Pulling himself up so he's sitting, he grabs a couple of Hershey's Kisses out of Red's lap.
Chewing a little thoughtfully, he says, "Bring M&Ms next time."
*~*
The fourth time, he doesn't wake up because of a movie, but because he's too hot. He's burning up and cold all at the same time. His head is too full for him even to be sick, and he's aching too much to move.
Cold hands are pressed against his forehead, and there's Red saying, "Didn't think superheroes got sick, kid."
Robin doesn't remember that night very well, but he remembers Red and his cool hands.
*~*
The fifth time Red comes over Robin is waiting for him, he has coke and popcorn and there's a film which he wants to watch playing.
"You have bad taste, kid." Red sits behind him, dragging Robin into his lap.
"Figured we'd have a double feature." Robin shifts and sits back, licking his fingers clean of butter.
They watch both films, each grumbling about the others taste, and there's an arm around his waist for all of it.
*~*
It's a ritual, Red comes in, Robin settles into his lap and they watch a movie. They've been doing it this way for months, so Robin's more than a little surprised to hear, "I'm not coming next week, kid."
He tilts his head up, eyes wide and questioning, and asks, "Why?"
He doesn't get an answer, and next week Red's not there.
*~*
It's a sultry hot night, too hot to bother with quips and useless fights that end in a stalemate. Or at least, that's what Robin thinks, but considers himself corrected when he's got Red X straddling him, a shuriken at his throat.
"What's the matter kid? Sit with you for a couple of nights and suddenly we're best friends? Tch." Robin's not particularly hurt though, because Red stole his favourite films, so he knows Red's lying.
Gently, he pushes Red's mask up and follows his hands, kissing Red very softly on the mouth.
"Coming on Friday?" Robin smiles as Red kisses him harder, pushing his tongue past Robin's lips.
"Aiming for right now, kid." They're giggling as they kiss.
